Winemaker Casey Di Cesare is selected as a 2021 Wine Industry Leader

We are so proud to announce that our winemaker, Casey Di Cesare was selected as a 2021 Wine Industry Leader by WineBusiness.com

Every year, Wine Business Monthly sets out to honor those who shape the way the wine industry operates or how people drink wine. With this leaders list, we're showcasing men and women who are making a difference. It's full of movers and shakers, and there are more than a few who are dissatisfied with the status quo.

Some of the influential people on this list are known to virtually anyone who follows the wine industry, while others are influential yet fly "under the radar." All of them are leaders in the North American wine business.

We also opened the list to suggestions from the industry, and launched a formal nomination process at the Unified Wine & Grape Symposium in January 2021. With more than 115 submissions featuring some incredible people, we had a hard time narrowing the list down. 

Casey Di Cesare is a true innovator in the wine industry. When Scheid's branding and marketing team came up with the idea for creating a 0 sugar, low calorie wine with only 85 calories that would also taste great, Di Cesare jumped into action. He tested and tried numerous methods until he found a method that kept both the delicious structure and taste of the wine without the calories and sugar. This is just one example of his successful winemaking trials; at any given time, he's running at least a dozen vineyard and production experiments.
